What the heck is going on?!? I’m not suffering from morning sickness (thank God!). I’ve not thrown up. Not once. But, I suffer from severe Night Chills. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. The work day that is. Heck, I’m normally exhausted by lunch! But I digress.
At night, no matter if I’m resting or moving around (which is rare), I will get night chills. I’m talking bone chilling, physically shivering, skin ice cold. Chills. I’ve never had anything like this happen before. The first time it happened Kevin was out of town. I was a little queasy too this time but I think that’s because my body went into panic mode because it didn’t know what was going on.
Luckily, my unwelcome visitor doesn’t come every night. It’s a periodic thing. Maybe a couple times a week, or a few more than a couple. I figured out going straight to bed, fully dressed and completely submerged under the covers would cure the problem. I would fall asleep (usually pretty quickly as it’s not hard for a pregnant woman), wake up in the middle of the night and feel normal again. Must be the hormones! But, I’ll take night chills any day of the week if it keeps me from physically being ill and throwing up.
